Designing a Website from SEO Point of View

From my point of view I always recommend anyone to design any site in the guidance of an SEO. I got an article also how an SEO guide in terms of site designing. Let us review that article below:

"Design is the basic aspect of a website. But it can’t be 1st step in SEO. SEO and designing both are interrelated to each other in promotion of a web site. If design is strong of a website then an SEO can easily promote that site in top 10 by targeted keywords. Design is basic aspect but it should be after market research and competitor analysis by an SEO.

If an SEO analysis competitor site to launch a new site then now his basic work can be making synopsis and design of that site which should be perfect from search engine point of view and user friendly.

Design aspect in SEO:

At 1st we should proceed with URL structure that should be on the basic research of market because it has great importance from search engines, ranking and user point of view. If your site is in .html or in .asp then it is OK but if your site is in .aspx then it is very hard to manage URL structure with site header so, make sure about URL at first. It is basic of SEO.

Second level of designing aspect initiate with the validation of all page by W3C. Your all page should be validated by W3C with minimum error to satisfy search engines.

3rd level of designing aspect is checking of error pages in a site. From my point of view in the designing aspect always designer make 2 or 3 URLs for every page it is their great mistake. Multiple URL for a page create problem of canonicalization. If by chance the page uploads on your site and cached by Google. After you delete this page it means you are creating 404 errors for your site.

Always check in your site broken links that called 404 errors. If you find that error in your site then immediately removed that from your site as well as webmaster tools also. You should check broken links error in your webmaster tools daily. You can get external and internal both errors in condition of broken links. You can’t do anything for external broken links error but you can do everything for internal broken link error.

4th level of designing aspect in SEO starts with checking of hidden text on a page. Many times designer write some text to indicate changes on page that are not related to page or some times we find text in single pixel on page that are not for users. We should delete those texts which are hidden and not useful from user point view.

5th level starts with navigational structure of a site. In the process of making site we should always keep in our mind about that user who comes to your site to buy something. Navigation of site always people let knows about your site products and reaches them to add cart to buy that things.

6th level of designing is related to navigational structure of a site. Sometimes we see in many site “Toggle” (+) in their navigational links. Toggle contains many links in the sign of “+”. From my point of view navigational links should be free by “Toggle”.

7th level of designing aspect in SEO contains removing of .js and .css file from the page. .Js and .css files are important for a site but that should not be on the page. All the .js and .css files should be in separate files. If we don’t call these files separately then it will increase load time and will make your pages heavy.

8th level is related to the coding of the page. From my point of view site should be in DIV rather than TR and TD. DIV treat as text by search engines and they are soft. DIV don’t take more time in loading also and it is lighter than TR-TD.

9th aspect is related to links structure. Most time we use images to show navigation of sites but to get pages in search engine ranking it should be in text links.

10th aspect is the reality and future of SEO and web design. If we use flash on our pages very strongly and in creative way to show a particular things then it can lead your business very effectively.

3 (Three) Way Links or Triangular Links Process

3 way links most commonly known as one way link. It is a process of link exchange in which 3 web sites participate to made a contract to get links. For example, if you have a website related to SEO and you are requesting a link exchange offer to a web master to add your link on the SEO related site. The web master have two SEO related site and he want to place your link on site A but in return he wants link for site B from your web site, called 3 way link exchange.

The thought of 3 way or triangular links developed after search engines updates. Before the 3 way links there was a concept of reciprocal or 2 way linking but soon the site got penalties specially by Google search engines. After this updates most of sites begin to create 3 way links to look as one way links in the eyes of search engines.

Most of sites got penalties for reciprocal links because they were involves in exchanging links with irrelevant sites and bad neighborhood. But those sites who are not concern with this activities still were in higher ranking that is why the concept of reciprocal links is not dead but should ethical way.

3 way links were most effective but soon it was also traced by search engines because in this process sister sites were involved with the same IP for link exchange. The IP were traced and bulk linking and Spam linking were traced for penalties.

Lastly, it was proved that Spam linking and bulk linking with irrelevant sites and bad neighborhood is not beneficial for sites.

It was the history of 3 way links or triangular linking but I am talking about 3 way links and how to get it. To get 3 way linking we can use all tips of reciprocal links except filling form for reciprocal links.

My opinion on 3 way link is in positive direction. You can use it as one way link but in ethical way. If you have more than 1 site you can exchange links as 3 way.

Many people think that reciprocal links have not importance because in returns we provide a link also from our web site and in this condition we don't do anything extra for our website. But I think it has importance if you do smartly the work. It has great importance still to get higher ranking in search engines. Google avoid that reciprocal links which not related to theme.

Some Rules For Reciprocal or Two way Links

If your site is dedicated to SEO, don't give any external links with the anchor of SEO in returns in the conditions of reciprocal links.

Consider always with Good PR if you get links from resources pages.

Try to get links from content pages.

Don't give higher Page Rank in return of lower.

Always do linking with theme related in the conditions of reciprocal.

Avoid reciprocal linking if the site has bad neighborhood outgoing links.

Out going links should not be more than 20 in the conditions of reciprocal linking.

Reciprocal links are not much effective in getting page rank but it is more effective to get higher ranking in major search engines.

Google Chrome New Browser and My View on Chrome

Like Internet and Mozilla there are a new browser also by Google. It is nice in browsing for any site. It is very fast but it has not menu bar on top like any other site. But in right side near close button there are some options in two tab one is for setting and another is for new window, find-replace or for zoom button etc.

On the Chrome browser you will able to see whatever you have browsed recently most time. You can bookmark any file from URL starting point. There is a button for bookmarking. Your bookmark will display in right hand side on Google Chrome browser.

For new tab there are a + button on title bar of the page, just click there and browse a new window. There is some problem with it. If you browse a site on that browser and scroll that from your mouse to see whole page it is easy to scroll down but you can't do as well as up also.

The browser Google Chrome will let you assist about that URL which is index of Google when you will type that in address bar.

About Google Chrome Sergey Brin said on the occasion of Chrome's unveiling, "What we want is a diverse and vibrant ecosystem, We want several browsers that are viable and substantial choices." I think most of the visitors derive to the site reading the descriptions of that search term. What exactly we are looking, says the descriptions. That descriptions comes from our pages meta descriptions. About the meta descriptions I have seen many mistaken. People don't make that on the loyalty of pages, they include something other also which is not on the web page. For example – We have an SEO News site, we make a meta like this – “Get news about seo in India. Search Engine Optimisation news and tips are from the web page” or related to it. I think it is right. But if you make it as - “SEO, Online Marketing, Web 2.0 and Link Building Services in India. News, reviews about seo and seo services from the web site” Is it right? I don't think it is right.

What people do mistake? They include other thing also in their descriptions while already pages are available in their site related to online marketing and link building. What I want to say – on the page whatever is, make the descriptions on that topic.

Is Meta Tag Keywords Important?

About meta tag, we know it is the HTML tag which appear in the head section of the web page. Meta tags says about the pages in short and in descriptive mode what is on the page. Some years before its importance was great but now it has low importance. Some people says that it is dead now. But I think it is not dead. It has still importance.

In the early age of search engine optimisation there was nothing but keywords selections. If you putted keywords on your meta tag your site had ranking by that keywords but now it is not like that because that was keywords spam in the search engine rather than producing a quality websites which user is needed. Now, if you put keywords on your meta tag it should be related to your page content and products.

Another thing is keywords density. Meta tag creates keyword density. So, if you use more keywords in your meta tag in keywords section, it will create more density for your pages. So, I recommend on my practice that if you use keywords or key phrases on your meta, use synonyms of keywords rather than repetition of keywords. Suppose, if you have a site related to “SEO and Online Marketing”, use keywords like these – SEO, search engine optimization, online marketing and nothing else. If you use more it will be harmful for your pages.

Rather than keywords in meta, use keywords or key phrases in title, descriptions, H1, H2, H3 or in content. It should be in proper place. You can say it is web page and content optimization according to the keywords.

Which keywords you are targeting from your web page, should be include in your title with some more density after that in descriptions, keywords, meta descriptions and lastly it should be in content.

Keywords as anchor if you use to get links for your websites from quality and theme related sites, will be better from meta. In my views meta tag keywords are not dead, it has still meaning but if it is in proper proportion.

Most important element of on-page optimization is "title". It tells about your brand, business and your name. So, include either your brand name or your business name along with keywords in title. Title should be descriptive that may be able to describe your services. It should be short and able to contain a huge meaning about your product and brand. Make sure, which is not your on site page, don't target that product or info by that page. For example, if your page is for on-page optimization, don't target that page by the "online marketing" keywords.

Title says all the things about a web page or web site. In onpage optimization practice you have to analysis about title and make that for web pages. It is the name of a page by which the page is known. It is important part for any web site or webpage. Title should be unique and meaningful.

Many expert recommend that title should be less than 66 character because when search engine display its results, it shows 66 character title in their search results for any site or webpage but it is not necessary. There are many site which include more than 66 character but if you use 65 character then it will be best for your site.

In title include keywords which is in search. Title is the combination of keywords and keyphrase. Title should be draw from your page theme and in content of page must be include that keywords and key phrases which is in title.

Before making a title analyze about keywords which is most searches in specific country or global. You can use Google Trends tool which is by Google. By this tool, you can know what keywords are most searches in which country.

Make sure that your page title and meta title should be same. I have seen many web pages mistake like this - and this is wrong. Both title and meta title should be same for the page.

In Page title should be include repeated keywords maximum 3 times to get ranking in search engines. It is the practice which show that in title keywords should be repeated. For eg. here “Title Tag Optimization – On the Practice of Onpage Optimisation” Optimization words are repeated two times while I have used both different. You can use synonyms instead of repetition.

Story of South Korea Search Engine – Naver.com

Recently South Korean Search Engine naver.com was in light. South Korea had announced its people that use only their own search engines. Specially, it was boycott for Google. The search engine was started in June 1999. According to comScore, Naver received 2 billion queries in August 2007, accounting for over 70% of all search queries in Korea. It has plan to launch effectively in Japan also.

According to wiki, “In August 2000, it launched the "Comprehensive Search" service. which allows users to get a variety of results from a search query on a single page, organized by type, including blogs, websites, images, cafes, etc. This was five years before Google launched a similar offering with its "Universal Search."”

Naver is on first number in South Korea and Daum.net is on 2^nd position. Daum.net has about 10.8 percent user and Yahoo's Korean languages searcher are about 4.4 percent while Google has only about 1.7%. For South Korea it is a big search engine and it has about 2,700 employee which has make profit in internet marketing about 299 billion, or $325 million. In profit on 573 billion won in sales last year. It has a market value of more than $8 billion. It was by New York Times who writes, “Each day, on average, 16 million people visit Naver — the name comes from the English words neighbor and navigator — keying 110 million queries into its standard Google-like search function. But Naver users also post an average of 44,000 questions a day through Knowledge iN, the interactive Q.&A. database. These receive about 110,000 answers, ranging from one-sentence replies to academic essays complete with footnotes.”

In this context Google is also not back. It was introduced Korean language in 2000 which is introduced an upgraded Korean-language service in May. It seems next year naver will get more revenue in comparison of last year because an announcement to neglect Google has increased its more user.

In the search engines one more competitors has introduced – http://www.cuil.com/. About it http://www.canada.com says, “A start-up led by former star Google engineers on Sunday unveiled a new Web search service that aims to outdo the Internet search leader in size, but faces an uphill battle changing Web surfing habits.”

Company announced it has indexed 3 times more than Google and ten times more than Microsoft. About its investment above site says , “Founded in late 2006, the Menlo Park, California-based Cuil has raised $33 million in two separate rounds: The first, for $8 million from Greylock and Tugboat Ventures, and the second for $25 million by Madrone Capital Partners.”

In its management Tom Costello is CEO and founder of cuil search engine. He is PhD in Computer Science from Stanford University and was on the Research faculty there until 2000. Anna Patterson is the President and founder of it. She is also PhD in Computer Science from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, and was a Research Scientist at Stanford University. In the competition of search engines how will work cuil it will be decide further. Is Google will loose their searcher or cuil.com will go out like other search engines?

In the competition of market most of companies will go in cartel, trust or acquisitions. In the series, Search Engines and Social sites are also in competitions. To expand their market in online marketing or search marketing they are adopting a policy of acquisitions.

Before some months Yahoo, worlds 2^nd largest search engine was on sale and bid from Microsoft announced $44.6 billion. But it was less amount for it. That is why it is now continue for bid. In this series Yahoo was already acquired a social bookmarking site which is most famous nowadays - “Del.icio.us”. We know del.iceo.us is a social bookmarking site to store, share and discover web bookmarks. It provides web services to bookmarks. Its founder was Joshua Schachter and in late 2003 the site was started. In 2005, it was acquired by Yahoo.

Next in this series now, digg.com is on bid. We know digg was started in 2004 by a team Kevin Rose, Owen Byrne, Ron Gorodetzky, and Jay Adelson. Digg is also a social bookmarking site. Now Currently, Owen Byrne is in active role for it. About Google bid there is a news that its bid amount is $200 to $225. However, Microsoft is also trying for it in lower amount.

It seems, in online marketing Google is going to acquire web services and web aid services. In this competition, Microsoft is also trying to be a strong competitor.

However, about this story Jay Adelson, who run digg blog, writes, “Normally our policy is to not comment about things like this, but this morning’s rumors about a bidding war involving Google and Microsoft have created such a stir we feel compelled to tell you all directly that they are completely inaccurate.

Sorry to burst any drama theories, but they aren’t true. We remain focused on improving Digg and rolling out great features.”

Off page optimization means, we do optimization for site not on site. So, it is all about development of web pages or websites. Development means, back support or link building. A site is considered by its back link. If a site has thousands of back links means the site has got thousands of vote by another websites. It means, the site site popular and much liked by visitors. By that vote the site can come on ranking - #1, #2 or on 1^st page of Google, Yahoo or any major search engines.

So, the matter is what is the process of creating back links of a site to get ranking or to make that strong? Back links considered as a vote by search engines, that vote should be relevant theme or page. If your site is related to SEO and an another website or web page is giving you a vote for your site with anchor SEO that means you are getting a vote with relevant theme. A vote is consider on web, you are referring visitors in right directions. So, giving vote or taking vote between website should be with relevant theme.

There are many tips and tricks about on page optimization on online but I think optimization of a website is not tricky. It is a process which takes long time and need regular optimization. I have already discussed about differences between on page and off optimization. So, here in this section I will only discuss about process of on page optimization.

In practical way, if you have a site related to SEO, you must be knowledge about this market, searches and keywords. We create site for user and use search engines to reach that to user. So, you must knowledge about the SEO searches and its relevant keywords and key phrases.

In this process, you make a title first for your site. Title, no doubt, should be unique and user attractive. After that you make a meta tag that will include meta title, meta descriptions, meta keywords which is basic.

Descriptions will tell about whole page in short. Like this, keywords or key phrase also should be related to that theme which is in your site theme.

Now, you will make a H1 tag that should be use only one time in site. It should be use in beginning of site in top. After that you can use H2, H3...H6 with relevant sub title. Your site should be like a book. suppose, you have an SEO book. What will you find inside that? There will be a title. When you will enter that book, you will get list of chapter. After this when you will enter in chapter you will find a sub title. For example - What is Search Engine Optimization? After this you will find one more sub title – definition of Search Engine Optimization. And then you will get content about that. Like this your site also should be in hierarchy way. In site navigation at least all static pages should be include.

If in your site, you are using image then also should be image optimization in proper way. A alt tag must be include within image. When your image is unable to browse, alt tage will tell about image to your user as well as crowler.

In this process, you should also read the Google guidelines. When you come to your content, there should be a fresh and unique content on your site which should be also knowledgeable. Your content should be optimize with keyword density and should be bold, strong if you think about this.

After that you should make a robot.txt file for your site. It will tell the crowler which part of site is to be crowler and which not.

Your site should be validate with W3C guidelines. You can create a RSS feed for your site content distributions. In last, there should be a sitemap of your site to include all the pages in that. It is map of your site bye this crowler and user can know about all pages of your site.

You should care about – keyword density, it should not be more than 5%. Your title can be in 60 character for best otherwise make it in maximum 80 character. Descriptions will be best in 150 character.

You should care about keyword repetition. Like you can not use SEO again and again if your site is related to it, you can use its synonyms. If your site pages size is under 23K in file, it is best. Use at least 500 words content on your site page.

Don't use too many links in your site footer. It is filtered as spam. Even not give outgoing links from your site that has PR0 and that are not related to your theme, but keep in mind that anchor should not be same to your targeted keywords. If you are using link page or resource page in your site don't include that in your sitemap.

Your site should not be only from search engine point of view, it should be from user point of view also. So, don't finish its usability by using targeted anchor only. Never use hidden text. Don't make cloaking or doorway pages. Don't create your site in table as much as possible, it should be in div or create a css file. For this, you should knowledge about at least html. There are many tools also which can you use for make your task easy. Lastly, your site should be free with broken link and garbage links.

I have already discussed about website optimizations. Optimizations of web page cover two aspect that are on page and off page optimizations. I have to describe here differences between them.

On page, it is the optimizations on a web page directly. We do some synthesizing, modification on a web page that called on page optimization. For example, if there is a site related to SEO, we need to make a title which may related to SEO and include that keyword in title which is most searches but title should be fresh, unique and attractive. After that, on that page, content also should be related to search engine optimization; fresh, unique and knowledgeable. Content must be optimize with targeted keywords. H1 to H6 you can use in your site but H1 must be use only one time. Your primary keyword should be include in H1. After that H2 according to keyword prominancy. As well as title, we make meta tag also. On the page of a web, if we use image, must include alt tag. Site should be in hierarchy way. All the pages should be validate by W3C. Site should be free from broken links. Sitemap and robot.txt file must be upload for crowler. Use RSS also to exchange content or for subscriptions. Make proper linking structure for your site. Site should be in proper inter-linking. Anchor tag should be placed in right way. Page should not be only for search engine point of view it should be also user point of view. So, make sure about site usability and accessibility. All the navigations should be in proper way. All these activity are on page activity.

Off page activity are not directly related to work on a web page. We don't changes anything on web pages but we do all the thing for web pages in off page optimizations. Web site popularity include off page optimizations. To boost websites in major search engines we do promotional activity that called Link building and Social Networking or Social Media Optimizations.

Mainly in off page activity, we do link building for a web site. To build links for a website, we can say it is the practice of back links creations. It should be in ethical way like on page activity. Link should be create as a natural link. Search Engines optimisation includes various aspects that are – Designing, Development, On page, Off page, Server side and many more. Optimization process is only for organic results. We can say in one line – we do optmisation of a site because we want higher ranking in organic searches by targeted keywords or key phrase.

So, it is not easy because it is only for organic searches and organic searches are free from search engines so to get higher ranking in organic listing there are some guidelines and algorithms of search engines.
